Rebecca Grossman Sentenced to 15 Years to Life in Deaths of Two Young Brothers
Grossman, co-founder of the Grossman Burn Foundation, was convicted of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated

Rebecca Grossman, the co-founder of the Grossman Burn Foundation, was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison on Monday for the deaths of two young brothers in a crash in 2020.
Grossman was convicted in May of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated for the deaths of Mark and Jacob Iskander, aged 11 and 8. The boys were passengers in a car driven by their mother when Grossman's car collided with theirs.
At her sentencing hearing, Grossman's husband and children testified on her behalf, describing her as a loving and dedicated mother and wife. They pleaded for leniency, but the judge ultimately sentenced Grossman to the maximum term allowed under the law.
In a statement, the Iskander family said they were "heartbroken" by the loss of their sons and that Grossman's sentence "does not bring them back."
