401 Reopened after Serious Crash

Westbound Lanes Reopened

The westbound lanes of the 401 have been reopened at Colborne following a serious crash over the noon hour on Friday. The highway was closed at County Road 25 following a collision involving multiple vehicles shortly after 12:30 p.m. Traffic was detoured eastbound at Bowmanville at Liberty Road exit, and westbound at Highway 115 north to Highway 2 westbound.

Serious Crash on Eastbound Lanes

A serious crash also shut down the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 at the Big Apple exit on January 1st. One person was seriously injured after a collision involving a transport truck and a car. The highway was closed for several hours while police investigated.
